Well, the step has been taken. I have now climbed up more rung on the digital ladder. Welcome to the official blog for Iron Thighs Single Speed. I intend to share training and racing stories, random ramblings, and who knows what else.
For the 2011 season I will be racing for Trek Ohio Valley, which is part of the Trek Mountain Co-op. Bike will be a 2010 Superfly SS with a custom build. Final build is not together yet, but the bike is ride able. No on dirt comments yet (look at the pic), but the bike is STIFF. Mash the pedals and the fly leaps forward.
First race will be the Barry-Roubaix at the end of the month. Rides are mainly on back roads, dirt when I can. Bike is set up 44-17 with CX tires. Gear is tall but I want to get used to it. Stubborn... I know.
